Tanya & Eddie – Gunners Barracks Mosman

Tanya & Eddie’s intimate wedding day, hosted on the beautiful grounds of Gunners Barracks Mosman, kept getting better and better as it progressed. Rocking with the super talented Taku from Cloud Herd Film Co, this wedding had no shortage of moments, from a near darkness, twilight photo session, to one of the most colourful retellings of a marriage proposal ever (by the groom’s brother), topped all off with a magical night exploration of the fortress tunnels. Scroll on to see how it all happened.

THE DRESS
“My dress is a Nicole Miller from The Wedding Boutique in Surry Hills. It was one of the very first dresses I pinned on my Pinterest when I was trying to select bridal dress styles that I liked. It was meant to be!! The amount of vendors and styles of bridal dresses is ridiculously overwhelming. It took me hours of searching online to filter the styles I liked to trying to find vendors in Sydney that offered these dresses. I was looking for a modern/minimal but not too minimal and also for an afforable price as I didn’t want to spend thousands and thousands of $$ on a dress I would only wear once in my lifetime. I was very fortunate to have Jennifer Go being the only vendor in Sydney I could find online that supplied Nicole Miller dresses and also adding her alterations and advice to make the dress fit like a glove. I’m so happy to have found the dress, it was like finding a needle in a hay stack!”

THE VENUE
“The intimate space, options for photos, the harbour view, food selection and the interior was classic and not over the top. I was very interested in Jaspers Berry as I originally wanted a garden wedding however the venue was way out of our budget. Gunners Barracks was the 3rd option we looked into and we are very glad we picked this venue, it was the perfect choice.”

FAVOURITE DETAIL
“Walking in and seeing the flowers in the ceremony especially the backdrop, the main dining room and signage for the first time. Kieu Ha from Sweet Bride did an amazing job in executing my vision.”

MEMORABLE MOMENTS
“The whole day was a total blur but taking a moment to soak in everything, seeing all family and friends from both sides together eating and laughing to seeing Eddie tear up whilst seeing me for the first time all done up when walking down the aisle. There were too many special moments to pinpoint during the day.”
