Steph & Ben's colourful wedding at Enzo Hunter Valley
PROPOSAL: "In Dec 2021 in Laplands, Finland. We were on a frozen lake while the skies were pink when Ben proposed! It was -20 degrees and our fingers were so cold, he dropped the ring into the snow!"
THE VENUE: "Since we lived overseas, we knew we didn't have many opportunities to see venues in the Hunter Valley, which we knew we wanted our wedding to be at. In Jan 2022 when we last visited Sydney, we viewed 7 venues in 1 day and chose our favourite one - Enzo Weddings!"
FAVOURITE DETAIL: "Favourite detail of the day were the flowers. Our original colour palette was a more neutral and muted peach and sage. Sometime along our 2 year engagement, we realised we wanted much more colour and to make it pop. We gave a lot of autonomy to our florist (Sage Blossoming) whom we loved for her vibrant and colourful style and we absolutely loved what she put together for us on the day! It was warm pastels with a touch of lilac."
TRADITIONS: "We had a Chinese tea ceremony in the morning at Enzo Cottage. It was very significant for our family and we were proud and so happy to have it on the same day as our other events!"
GLAD WE DID THIS: "We are really glad we did the fireworks and outdoor dancefloor. We hesitated whether the fireworks would be worth it but it added a really special touch to our night that was more unique than we initially thought! Of course, the outdoor dancefloor went hand in hand with it and made for a great spot to party through the night. Of course, the night may have been very different if the weather had turned on us. In the forecast leading up to the day, this really seemed the case but we were lucky on the day to be rain-free. So be aware of the risks beforehand!"
