Lisha and Nick’s stunning wedding in the Blue Mountains was a perfect blend of cultural traditions and modern celebration. The picturesque mountain venue provided a breathtaking backdrop for the festivities, complemented by Lisha’s elegant dress. The live band set the tone for an unforgettable evening filled with incredible & lively dancing 👀. “We both intially fell in love salsa dancing in South America 4 years ago. We had been practicing for a few weeks, getting hyped up, and the look on everyone’s face when we started dancing was priceless”, Lisha said. “Also the room looked amazing as we walked in with all the fairy lights and flowers and it was the lightest feeling in the world.”
THE PROPOSAL: “Nick thought he was being sneaky but I had a feeling things were going down and managed to paint my nails in the morning! He told me to dress up, took me to an amazing lookout on the central coast overlooking Pearl Beach and popped the question! He had also organised secretly for both our families to be waiting for us at home afterwards!!! It was like a same day engagement party and was super special”
FAVOURITE MOMENT: “The moment of anticipation before walking down the aisle, holding mum and dad’s hand and so excited to see Nick and everyone we loved in the church. Knowing that we made it. Then walking down the aisle seeing Nick on the other end and just feeling like everything was right in the world.”
THE DRESS: “Dress shopping was one of my favourite parts of the planning experience. I went with mum, which was special and emotional because I’m an only child so she’ll only do this once. Everything I tried on I loved!! It was hard to choose but this one felt the most like me and what I was looking for”
THE THEME: “we didn’t really have a theme or a vibe just things we really liked – we both play music so we wanted a live band, Lisha dances so we needed that, we both are obsessed with native Australian florals so that inspired those, were obsessed with wood so needed lots of that, and terracotta was the only colour we could agree on for the colour scheme so that was that! I imagine the vibe ended up being rustic with a bit of extra magic ✨”
FUNNY STORIES: “YES. After the photoshoot, I took a trip to the bathroom, heard a crunch, and looked down in horror to discover a crime scene – there was blood all over my right shoe, as well as spattered over the floor and bathtub. Luckily I was already holding my dress up 😂 Nick came to the rescue to discover a few leeches (and one squished leech) which were promptly removed and disposed of. The bloody shoe was washed in the sink, and the crimescene was dealt with by Nick while my bridesmaids patched up my leaking feet with an assortment of bandaids. Off to the reception we went!!”
