“A couple of weeks before the wedding we met the pastors of Mitch’s sister’s church and they happened to be renting the property behind Settlers”, explains bride Gen. “We ended up getting to use the property right behind the reception venue”. It probably helps even more when your future mother-in-law is a fantastic wedding planner (One Weddings). Your future sister-in-law is a mega-talented florist (Willow Flowers by Design). Everyone else you know pitches in with a helping hand.
THE DRESS:“I purchased my dress from Penrith Bridal Centre. It was the first and only shop I went to. It was the 4th dress I tried on. I loved the champagne colour underneath the ivory lace. There was another dress similar however, this was my favourite as it created an ethereal vibe with the floral lace detailing and a long flowing train.”
THE VENUE:“Settlers Mulgoa was the second reception venue we went and saw. We loved the intimate rustic vibe. It was also particularly special for me as my parents got married there and had their reception there 25 years ago.”
FAVOURITE MOMENTS:“We loved hearing everyone’s speeches, we thought everyone did a really great job at delivering both meaningful and entertaining speeches. We really enjoyed the vibe of the reception.”
STANDOUT VENDOR:“We were really impressed with Kris McIntyre Music who created a beautiful music atmosphere at the reception. He dislocated his elbow at work and his friend who was going to play the guitar on the day for him called in sick, so Kris still played for us with a sore arm on the night.”
