Honestly, when you get a rainy wedding day, you expect some level of disappointment. But, if the rain creates one of the most magical weddings you have ever photographed (and also happens to be at the wondrous Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens). You’ll wish for it to happen more often 🤣
You really can’t find a more well matched couple than Ainslea and Tim. They share an amazing amount of things in common. They are both twins. They both grew up in the mountains. They have birthdays just two days apart. They also share a deep devotion to church and God. I haven’t even begun to mention Tim’s appreciation of things red and one unfortunate lad named Tom.
Tim proposed almost a year ago on a Wollongong beach. His idea of a romantic picnic lunch didn’t exactly go to plan. The cold, wind, and rain forced them to shelter under a gazebo. Luckily, the sun did emerge long enough for a beachside walk leading to Tim getting down on one knee (then a few months later I showed up and this happened ?).
Fast forward to their wedding day, and it was no surprise that the cold, wind, and rain would reappear. The elements transforming their wedding ceremony venue at Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens into a magical setting. With Loxley On Bellbird Hill also became a part of the dream day.
Despite the wet conditions, Ainslea glowed in her Sophia Tolli dress (via the Penrith Bridal Centre). Her appearance just about drew a tear from everyone.
They wanted to keep things easy going and intimate. They drew on the resources of their family and friends. This helped run their incredible day. Ainslea’s sister-in-law Chloe designed and arranged the florals. Jeff, her step father, undertook the MC duties. Their church pastor, Ben Sattler, was the celebrant. Of course, the bridal party truly got into the spirit of things.
